This is going to be a very short one because there is only 1 dedicated healing slot, this does not mean that there are not other skills that can heal. Not going to go over any of the other ways to heal, Just this one slot. This 1 slot may be the most important skill you have. While I realize this seems silly, and a lot of players may be thinking HEALING is the HEALERS job. I have always thought that thinking that way was a little short sighted since most groups have 1 healer and 4+ players to keep alive. Basically if things go bad, the healer has to keep everyone alive, and each player thinks they are important. So if they die they get pissed at the healer. This removes that, now each player is responsible for themselves, even if someone is there healing in some way. Besides if you have a way to help the healer in a group, it makes the healers life easier and giving them that precious extra second to get a heal off can make all the difference, Don't believe me? Ask any healer. So this mandatory heal slot is great. So what are the bonuses to this besides happy healers? 1. Makes soloing easier. 2. You have a way to keep yourself alive in a group. 3. Depending on the skill you may be able to heal others. 4. HAPPY HEALERS!!! best one of all, except there really aren't healers in GW2. As Always

Utility skills are the 7-9 quick bar slots, unlike weapon skills these do not have a quick switch button. This makes the choices for these 3 skills very important. Utility skills are powerful skills, but are used more in a situational way. There are several types of utility skills and each profession has there own set which is the same, the thing here is that while you may have the same set of utility skills doesn't mean that each player will use the exact same 3. I want to point out taking a close look at these skills may make or break a build. Take the ranger for instance they have several types of utility skills: Signets - These I think are going to be very powerful mainly because they give you two skills for the price of one, A passive skill that stays on till you activate the 2nd part of the skill. Traps - Basically a AoE attack any mobs that walk into it will be hit by the traps effect. Spirit - These are another Aoe type skill, much like a trap the effects vary but there are 2 diffrences first is these have a 2nd effect that you can set off and the second is these can be removed if enough damage is given to the spirit. Pet - Requires a pet to use. Survival - These skills vary Each of the above have several skills, since you can only have 3 on the quickbar, picking what you think you will need for situations is key. Picking skills you think you will need: Solo : you may want some skills that reduce damage, extra healing, or skills that reduce the enemy's ability's. Grouping: You may want to look into skills that help the group like buffs and heals. Multi Mob: You may want some Aoe and Crowd Controlling ability just in-case you run into multiple Mobs. Utility skills are the situational skills that save Lives. As Always

Time to get to the really important stuff, so far we been general on skills, and while weapon skills are based on professions we can get into strategies to use to give the best possible outcomes. The idea behind this was well thought out the first 5 slots on your skill bar with one weapon set can be more than 6 skills. With the ability to change weapon sets, Elementalists give me a sec will get to you in a sec, you can have more than 12 skills. Elementalists this may be your strongest ability while you can not change weapon sets you can change your element attunement which changes the weapon skills. In reality elementalist can have at least 20 skill. This is huge because it allows you to have 2 different play-styles. Take the Guardian for example may want to be able to switch from full on damage to some defensive skills if a battle starts going bad. So going from a 2handed hammer to a mace and shield in a matter of a few seconds might be exactly what a player may want. All this means is Choosing your skills is going to be Very Important. You will want to look at all the possibility's that can fit your play style. think about solo, group, dynamic event, general leveling and anything else you can think of. Solo - This may be a option for when you are alone or your group has fallen in battle. Dynamic event - You may have one of these ready to go when you head into a dynamic event, since being able to help other players is the way to win them. Also Switching weapon skills gives you greater utility, If you don't want to change strategies utility is a big deal, being able to go from fighting solo mobs to multiple mobs is a great help. The best part of this is that you have tons of skills just in the first 5 slots with out cluttering up your quick bar. in most games you don't use more than 5 or 6 skills anyways this way you get them when you want them, Brilliant. Ok so I put up a video that showed a little on Traits and skill. So I thought We go a little more into this subject today since it is really important to your play-style and making your toon unique. Being different from everyone else is what makes you, well you. So lets talk about skills first. There are Weapon, utility, heal, Elite, profession, and downed skills. We will go over Downed, profession, and Elite (more so) later. As you can see there is a lot of skill types. Each type has several skills in them. 5 skills are based on the weapon(s) you are holding. Basically if you hold a weapon that takes 2 hands to use then your first 5 skills will be based on that weapon. If your using a main hand and off hand your first 3 skills are based on the main hand, Last 2 on the off hand. One of the nicest things about weapon skills is they can be switched out during a fight all by changing to a 2nd set of weapons. Your 6th skill is your heal skill everyone starts with one of these. However if you want to trade the one you start with for a different heal you will need to spend skill points to get them, each type do different types of heals. 7-9 are utility skills You can purchase these at levels 5, 10, and 20. There are many types of utility skills which are based on your profession. There are a bunch of them for each profession. Pick and choose which ones will work best for you because you can't change these while in a fight. Elite skills are available at level 30, these skills are very powerful, because of this these have fairly large cool down timers. As Always

Yep we gonna be doing a lot of Gw2 coverage for a while. today I wanna talk about the learning curve. The learning curve is going to be different depending on how you play. For those who use the keyboard ASWD keys for movement there will be little that will change the hardest part to get use to for those players is the dodging (double tapping at the right times). Those who use the Arrow keys (yes there are players that use those) You will need to switch to the ASWD keys because the Left and right arrow keys are now Strafe. Taking that into consideration Experience also is a factor. Hardcore gamers total time to get use to the controls shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. Casual Gamers in most cases this should take no more than 45 minutes, I think maybe 20 minutes will be the average. Most none gamers don't get upset but this can take more than a hour, mostly because you will be figuring everything out. The most problematic thing to learn is the dodge, while there is a button on the quick bar for it the double tap is a more effective way of using this. The real problem stems from the forgetting about it since its a newer mechanic to this type of game. As Always

Are you sad that this weeks beta is over? Did you complete all your goals? Play every class? Try the crafting? PVP? Get through all of the personal story they allowed? There was so much to do and so little time to do it in. So over that last few days, I have been giving my opinion on the game, and today will be no different. Tomorrow we will talk about the discoveries, the fun parts the bad parts and anything in between. Things change and things stay the same. The things that changed had to do with me more than it did with the game. Quests still need balancing, dynamic events are still to often. Now I'm adding another thing they need to fix and it has to do with the World PvP. It has to do with the way points, these are points on the map that once you die and need to rez you port to. The problem is the Lack of these points, there is one at each start point for each of the 3 worlds. So you spend a hour traveling to the other side of the map then some random mob (yes there are mobs) or Player kills you, no one around to rez you, you will be spending another hour getting back. There is a simple fix to this problem, that can still make players have to initially travel to the keeps while still allowing them to get back in the fight a little more quickly. The fix: allow players to port to Held Keeps that are within a certain distance of the keep. So in short you need to be Dead and "XX" Distance to use the keep way point. The crafting system is still mostly unknown to me since I did not delve to deeply into it. I do think this game will be a great game, Still stuff to fix in the game but that's what a beta is for. Wow what a day server crash, played a few more professions, and have come to more conclusions, those will will have to wait. The thing I want to go over is have my thoughts changed since yesterday? Yes, some of my thoughts have changed, a lot have not after playing more of the professions. I have discovered that the quests are more unbalanced on certain classes than others. Some classes so far have very balanced personal story quests... So annoying. The learning curve for the game is fairly quick for most hardcore gamers maybe 15 - 20 minutes to get use to most of the game (if not a hardcore gamer it will take longer) the only thing that may take longer is the dodging and group mechanics, since there is no traditional group and mobs don't have a solid aggro table to play off of. Heals are sporadic at best, and your self heal is your OHH BEEP button and you will wish you had more than one, especially with multiple mobs. Still no way to pull easily, and the dodge is only good for 2 moves in rapid succession. Not all is bad, looks like they may have slowed the dynamic events down a little (needs to be more in my opinion), and the ability for all to rez is something every player needs to learn to use, since it is the most useful in the dynamic events. Now we know the graphics are great, something you may not know is the map is near perfect on accuracy, What I mean by this is If you move your character while looking at the main map you can easily move to where you want with almost no switching to game to see where your going. This is handy in the towns, Not so much in the explorable world where the mobs are. As Always

This is going to be very important you want to have what you need, when you need it. If you want to get in as much Gaming as possible, you need to everything right there and ready. Every second is precious when starting in a brand new game, you have a lot to master, and if you have to spend time to go get something from the store your losing time to learn, to master, and experience. So make sure you have your supply's ready and near. Make your supply's simple and easy. Supply's you may want: Food - Snacks will prolly be a staple most of the time. Drinks - make sure there at the proper temp for drinking. Placement - have a place that you can place anything you may need that is within reach but not not right next to your computer don't want to accidentally dump a cold soda on your keyboard do you? Pen and paper - I know this one may seem a bit strange, however this gives you a ability to quickly jot down notes that may be useful in the future. Hey who knew that blue blobs where immune to ice till someone jotted it down then shared it? So remember having the supply's you need to reduce your real life down time, will save you some frustration. As Always

Peripherals, you know the things that allow you to use your computer? like the mouse and keyboard. I am a big believer in keep it simple, so I am not going to say go out and buy some $100 mouse, unless you really want one. No this is about being prepared, so if you use a standard mouse and keyboard you may want to have a back up for them if they are old. Have batteries that are charged and ready for any device that you use, that will need them. If you use a headset, because you plan on using TeamSpeak or Ventrillo, make sure its in good working order. So in short make sure any and all Peripherals are in good working order cleaned up and ready to play. It would really sux if you where able to get on the game start to play when your mouse or keyboard dies. Just a thought. As Always

OHH If you haven't heard the beta for those who Pre-Purchased the game is going to start soon approx 6 day and 20 some odd hours. This is the perfect opportunity to get in some research on the game before you create your main toon in the game. They are allowing beta players to check out all 8 professions and 3 races: Human, Charr, and the Norn. The beta's will last approx 60 hours starting at Friday, April 27, at noon PDT (GMT-7) and ends on Sunday, April 29, at 11:59 p.m. PDT (GMT-7). This article caught my eye today Why the end of the $60 video game is near, so lets talk about Price. This has been an on going process, not just on consoles but on the PC as well. While I will admit there are certain games worth higher prices, most are not. That is why Free to play games are becoming more popular. Over the last 2-3 years I have been wondering about how we get sucked into paying a high price for a game then sucked in to paying a month to month fee, and not be allowed to do certain things that could recover some cash for us. Example of this is selling gold or the account. While I know there are scams out there, the risk could be lessened in many ways. However this isn't about risk reduction but price. I truly believe you you pay a monthly fee on a game you should be able to make money off of it. I do think this is going to change soon. Games without a monthly fee but purchased should allow the transfer of accounts(sold or traded), Where free to play can have those rules. I have gotten off topic back to price, I think game company's realize that over all there games offer entertainment value that far exceeds that of a movie that you see once in a theater, but forget that over time you will be able to buy the Movie in a DVD / Blue-ray at a slightly higher cost but have the ability to enjoy it more. I Realize there is a lot that goes into creating a game, but if your willing to lower the price, more players can purchase the game and your profits should stay about the same. If more players buy the game this means there is less of a 2nd hand market. We will continue the GW2 Prepared series tomorrow. As Always

The first 2 where simple, now lets start on the hard stuff. The next parts will be about your computer. So for this one we need to start cleaning up the computer, de-fraging, making space on the computer to make sure we have the space for the game. If your serious about being prepared you will do this twice, Once now the 2nd time 5 days before the actual release of the game (reason for 5 days is if you pre purchased you will be playing 3 days before the release). So for now start cleaning up your computers, de-frag, removal on junk you no longer need like games you no longer play, or pictures and music. As Always

So with GW2 I've been watching videos when I can, and keeping a close eye on what ever I can. Been seeing a lot of this again, where players are wanting information on where they can buy or sell gold. So I just want to put this out there again. Read the terms of use before buying or selling gold. Some games will allow this other games will not. If caught when it is not allowed could get your account suspended and a lot of things removed from it just on the bases that it may have been bought with illegally attained gold. Even worse is your account could be Terminated. Chances are good you wont get caught but if you did it could be bad. Do I agree with this policy? Depends on the game, on pay to play games, NO I do not agree with this but I can understand it. Games where there is no monthly fee yes I do agree with it. As Always Play The Game Your Way Laterz

The game is getting close to being done and available for Gamers to play. The Question is are we ready? We been waiting so long for this game to come out. Lot of us heard the game was going to come out several years ago then nothing, then once again about 2 years ago, then the delays started. We have pounded out The Hall of Monuments, most of us got the 30 points needed for all the basic stuff. Some of us even went crazy and got to 50. Still are we ready? The game has some very unique ideas, take for example the idea of every class being able to do every job. The removal of the Trinity is going to take time to get use to. No dedicated healer, the ability for every character to tank mobs. Best part is every character can do some damage. Are we as gamers ready to rethink how we play or are we going to try and make the game conform to the old ways? Can we as gamers adjust to a new way of thinking? To this I say YES BRING IT!! this is what we as gamers live for. Not only will we figure it out but we will dominate it, make it are own, and then start dreaming, wanting, and desiring the next new innovation that can be thought of. For that is what gamers do, we adapt and conquer. Then wait for the next challenge. As Always

As we all know gamers need fuel to game. Each has there own favorite mine is Pepsi. As we all know Soda is not the best thing or the healthiest to drink. However I do like it, So I saw in the store a new Pepsi product Pepsi Next. So I decided to try it, they claimed same taste less sugar. Its a LIE, its not the same taste, in fact after the first couple sips I was going to toss it mainly because it kinda tasted like Diet and I really hate diet. After a few more drinks I started to get used to it, its not to bad its not quite diet and yet not quite the regular flavor. I think its not as sweet as regular Pepsi is, but definitely better than diet. Will I go looking to buy Pepsi Next prolly not, but I wont shy away from it like I do Diet soda. Ummm so yea not really a gaming blog. As Always

LOL, I find Players that do this funny as heck. They expect you to do what they want, this is especially true with PvP players. Not saying all are like this but there is enough of them to make this true. The situation is normally some sort of Boss or in the PvP setting being out numbered and them needing more players to help beat what they are fighting. Then it happens They get there butts kicked and it sets them off, this can get worse if they been getting there tails kicked for a while. They start yelling and telling Players they need to get out there to help. This then progresses to yelling and insulting players. Normally ending in some sort of sarcastic "TY for the help you "BEEP"." I find this funny. First they want you to help them, when often times they wouldn't help you for any reason. They are not paying for your account. Heck you may not like what they are doing and are playing the game for fun. So For those of you who start to get upset about players who do this, try to realize its them just getting upset because the game isn't going there way at the moment. As Always
