Few basics about Gate of Pain...

When I speak of bonus I am talking about masters bonus which is harder of the two to get. Bonus's are Masters (hardest), Expert (moderate).

Suggested Hero's and Henchmen to Bring: this will be what I have found most effective, and will take it as you have all the hero's.

General Tips

Set all hero's to the shield (defense) that way they do not attack unless they are attacked or you attack. I like to set my healing hero's to passive so they don't attack just heal.

Gate Of Pain

Hero's Needed for you party- Dunkoro

Objective'sDefeat 6 Tortureweb Dryders , any added tasks

BONUS Defeat 3 elite emissaries

Suggested Hero's and Henchies to Bring
Dunkoro - because he is needed
A necromancer - Hero

Gate of Pain Walk Through

You main goal here is to defeat 6 Tortureweb Dryders that are trying to steal souls of the dead. couple things to point out there is a environmental effect here that does damage to you every time you use a skill. So either bring a extra monk, or plan on some short breaks for power and health.

The mission its self is straight forward and fairly easy to navigate. You will see its not very long but because of the small area this mission is in you need to be aware of the other mobs and be careful not to aggro them.

You start off with several pathways It is suggested that you take the one to the south. You will run into several groups of torment mobs, as well as terror webs mobs (terror webs are not effected by Lightbringer gaze). Torment mobs have a ability to call another one of them to battle so make sure to interrupt of defeat any low on health, Terrorwebs use meteor shower and other high damage fire spells so interupting them is important.

Fight only 1 group at a time, fighting more than one will almost guarantee that you will have to start over.

As you get past this first section you will come to a spot were their is a inactive rez shrine from here you will want to go to your right you will come to a bridge on your left. You will see some speaking between a tortureweb and a Emissary of Dhuum.

Dunkoro will say something about defeating the torture web and the Emissary of Dhuum will come to help defend it. (torturewebs are like terror webs but no meteor shower, but hit a lot harder)

The easiest way to defeat this one is run in beat up the torture while Dhuum is talking then defeat Dhuum when he come running over.

From here the mission is just along the edge of the area in a circle to find the torturewebs.

Getting The Gate of Pain Bonus

The Bonus is to Defeat 3 elite Emissaries, they are basically Dhuum. The problem here is they are linked with 3 Terrorwebs. The first one is to the right up some stairs from the bridge, This is the trickiest of all the bonus's because of the extra mobs that can aggro when you are trying to get it. If you have a puller that knows what they are doing you may be able to just pull the bonus. otherwise you may want to clear couple of the other mob groups as well.

2nd one of these is just straight up from the bridge next to the tortureweb you will come too, its across the bridge there.

The last one is next to another tortureweb up a hill across a invisible bridge. This one u need to clear the mobs in area before attempting other wise you will have a very hard time with it.

Playing Gate of Pain in Hard Mode

BRING FRIENDS, yep your gonna need friends for this mission. Other than that its pretty much same thing as normal mode.

The mobs here are tougher. The one thing to really watch out for is mobs adding on. There are a few wandering groups that may add in on a fight and that will most likely spell trouble if it happens. Other than that just take your time and follow the map.

Gate of Pain Tips

Take your time.

Remember to stop and let monks get power.

Lightbringer gaze is of great help in this mission.

Put on your Lightbringer titles if you have it.

Lightbringer gaze also is a interrupt on the torment mobs and tortureweb so it can be used to stop the pain in the tail skills they use.

The Gate of Pain Hero Builds

Tweek the builds to what skills you have but try to keep the concept of the build intact.

Concept A basic Interrupt build great for stopping many bosses from casting there hard hitting spells.
